The COVID-19 pandemic has cost us several lives across the world, and day by day, the condition around the country has also been worsening with many people testing positive for the deadly virus even after the government taking several preventive measures. As people across the country have been facing problems due to the 21 days of lockdown, actor Suniel Shetty urges fans to support vulnerable families with Save The Children India foundation. The actor requested everyone to come forward and help everyone in need. Check it out!

On Instagram, in a video shared, Suniel Shetty addresses all his fans urging them to support all the vulnerable families across the country. In the video, Suniel Shetty talks about how we never thought of such a disaster would be of grave danger to mankind. During the video, the actor said, “Most of us never thought we would see this day. It's impacted each one of us.And for some, the impact is much harder. For those who stay in 10x 10feet room social distancing is luxury , sanitisers out of their reach and basic food also getting tougher day by day . This is the time to be with them and to let them know that we are together in this.”

Moving on in the video further, Suniel Shetty added, “Help us support vulnerable families. We at @savethechildrenindia will ensure every donation is used only for relief work.” The actor in the video requested all his fans to help and support the vulnerable families. Talking about the organization Save the Children India and what they are doing, the organization sources ration and hygiene material from local vendors and through partners for distribution in communities. It does direct cash transfers for survivors of trafficking and families of children with disability  developing a  community level behaviour change reaching out to encourage critical precaution measures such as handwash, social distancing and sneezing/coughing etiquette + messaging for people to remain calm and stay home.



STCI is working also with partners to leverage each others' strengths so we can reach as many as possible. Meanwhile, as actor Suniel Shetty has taken the initiative to support the vulnerable families in the country, celebrities Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan also made a contribution to the relief fund started to help everyone in need in the country.
